Overview

Maintenance Technician Lead – Food Manufacturing

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician Lead to keep our equipment, facility, and grounds running smoothly. In this role, you'll troubleshoot and repair machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and support food production operations—all while following strict safety and food quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain :
  • Electrical power and control systems
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems
  • Food processing and packaging equipment
  • General mechanical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance programs to keep equipment in top shape
  • Install new processing and packaging equipment (with supervision)
  • Weld stainless steel and carbon steel as needed
  • Repair and maintain facility buildings and grounds
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical instructions
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety requirements
  • Take on other maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance or related experience
  • Background in meat processing or USDA / FSIS-regulated environments (a plus)
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
  • Ability to read and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  • Comfortable with basic math (fractions, ratios, measurements)
  • Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic

    • Working Conditions

  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Long periods of standing and repetitive motion
  • Must have good vision and attention to detail
