Security Officer - Industrial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol in Big Island, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the site. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors alike. You will interact with individuals throughout the facility, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to incidents, monitoring alarm panels, and managing access control systems. This is a driving post, so a valid drivers license that meets Allied Universals driver policy requirements is necessary. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Day Time Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual situations encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered while on duty.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and / or visitors as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
