Overview

The Operations and Visual Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team, accountable for bringing Alo’s operational and visual strategy to life in the store. This role focuses on inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution to maintain an efficient and customer-ready environment. Duties require movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house, with initiative to perform other tasks as needed to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor using business performance data
  • Support sell-through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours to efficiently receive product deliveries
  • Maintain a safe work environment and efficient operation

Business Leadership

  • Represent the business in meetings and conference calls in partnership with the General Manager
  • Monitor and partner with the General Manager to manage the budget, reporting, and business data, including metrics (e.g., Expenses, Sell-Thru), informing planning processes (e.g., quarterly business reviews, sales planning)
  • Plan for future business needs to protect optimal performance

    • People Leadership

  • Ensure the Operations and Visual team embodies Alo’s mission and guiding principles, communicating who we are to guests
  • Lead with accountability, coaching, talent development, and KPI-driven communication
  • Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy
  • Create and manage effective schedules in partnership with the General / Store Manager

    • Flow Experience Leadership

  • Oversee the execution of Flow experience deliverables while protecting operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the General / Store Manager’s vision and work cross-functionally to support goals and achieve inventory and sales floor KPIs
  • Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture

    • Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Agile, with ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment
  • Aligns with Alo’s Guiding Principles
  • Independent work ethic, time management, and personal accountability
  • Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store
  • Physical ability to lift, push, carry or move up to 50 pounds; ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely climb up / down a ladder; ability to stand and move for an entire shift

    • Schedule

    Full-time availability required for opening, closing, and weekend shifts. All employees must be able to work during the company’s Blackout period (from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season).
