• Work day shift from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM
• Weekend requirements apply
• Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
• Execute technically proficient 2D, M-mode and Doppler cardiac examinations
• Coordinate activities with hospital departments including scheduling exams and transporting patients
• Assist cardiologists during exam dictation by preparing and measuring M-modes
• Respond to patient needs during examinations and report condition changes to physicians or nurses
• Maintain equipment quality control and coordinate repair services as needed
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergency echo exams outside regular working hours
• Order echo supplies and maintain clean, well-stocked examination rooms
• Log patients and exams while filing patient records in department
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities at departmental and hospital-wide levels
• Required certifications : A.R.D.M.S. / CCI registered or registry eligible, State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License, BLS certification through American Heart Association
• High school diploma or equivalent required, two-year allied health education program preferred
• Two years of active echocardiogram experience preferred
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively under stressful conditions
