Reports To : Clinical Director

Location : Sanctuary Recovery Centers, Arizona

Employment Type : Full-Time

Position Summary

The Associate Clinical Supervisor supports the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services by providing supervision to pre-licensed staff and interns under the oversight of a Board-approved independent licensed supervisor. This role also includes direct clinical service provision to residents, contributing to therapeutic outcomes, staff development, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians and interns in accordance with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) regulations.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family psychotherapy to residents, supporting treatment goals and recovery outcomes.
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and contribute to the development of Individual Service / Recovery Plans.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to monitor staff performance and support professional growth.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to integrated care planning.
  • Maintain availability for on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
  • Promote best practice outcomes including education, employment, housing stability, and community integration.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

  • Uphold Sanctuary Recovery Centers' policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance as scheduled.
  • Actively contribute to clinical team collaboration and decision-making.
  • Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field.
  • Active Arizona associate-level license (LAC, LMSW, LAMFT).
  • Experience in substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and virtual care platforms preferred.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and licensure advancement.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Documentation Timeliness : ≥95% completed within 24–48 hours of service.
  • Supervision Delivery : Monthly supervision sessions with assigned staff.
  • Resident Outcomes : ≥80% demonstrate measurable improvement; ≥85% achieve treatment goals.
  • Compliance : 100% adherence to AZBBHE supervision standards.
  • Productivity : Maintain average of 25 billable hours / week.
  • Training : 100% completion of required annual training.
  • Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an Intensive Outpatient treatment facility.
  • Requires regular movement throughout the facility and direct contact with residents.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist adults weighing 100–250 pounds.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, twisting, and reaching.
