Operating Room RN - Weekend Only

Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift Description Position Purpose : At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Main Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients. What You Will Do

• Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and / or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.
• Opportunities to serve as Charge Nurse. Required Minimum Qualifications :
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience. Preferred
• Bachelor's in Nursing
• Current BLS / CPR (AHA or Red Cross), certification support upon hire.
• Familiarity with AORN standards Important Consideration
• This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through the Periop 101 program. Candidates must be able to function independently in the OR. Position Highlights Full-Time - Weekends Only - Day Shift.
• Will work 24 hours from 7 : 00 pm Friday thru 7 : 30 am Monday but will be paid for 30 hours per week.
• All shifts will be every weekend, plus holidays if a holiday lands on a weekend.
• All colleagues will be paid a special shift differential for the 24 hours worked and an additional bonus totaling 6 hours of their base rate for non-worked hours. Also eligible for shift differentials during 24 hours worked
