Position Overview
The Digital Employee Benefits Account Manager contributes to client success through strategic consultation, effective relationship management, and innovative technology use. The role manages and nurtures client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth while consulting on insurance plan designs, handling renewal negotiations, and overseeing vendor and carrier selections. The manager leverages technology and market insights to enhance service delivery, identify cross-selling opportunities, and support clients with small business and personal insurance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communications and fostering strong, long-lasting relationships for the assigned book of business.
- Provide strategic recommendations and tailored data-driven solutions to understand client needs and objectives, proactively communicating and coordinating annual enrollment support throughout the client's policy lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate data for assigned customer activity in Agency Management System and related engagement software.
- Implement and monitor data-driven and customer-tailored marketing or awareness campaigns to achieve retention and growth targets.
- Contribute to new opportunity identification for client growth and service expansion, sharing best practices and staying updated with industry trends.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Digital Marketing, Human Resources, Compliance, and third-party partners, to continuously improve service delivery and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Drive client adoption of self-service tools and enrollment capabilities, promoting additional digital services and solutions to support client objectives and business growth.
- Exceed client retention and satisfaction metrics through a highly consultative, technology-first approach, performing other tasks or projects as requested by service team or region leadership.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.Licenses : Hold applicable Health and Life Insurance state license.Experience : Minimum 2 years of account management or related role, with a current license held for over 1 year; proven experience managing client relationships and achieving retention targets; experience remarketing across multiple carriers and providing consultation on available solutions; ability to account round and cross-sell products to broaden the total client relationship.Skills : Strong client management and relationship-building skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, experience with Applied EPIC or similar account management software, multitasking across multiple systems, collaborative team player, creative problem-solving abilities, and passion for customer service.Benefits & Perks
