Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking a Behavioral Therapist to meet the ever-changing behavioral needs our program participants.
Available Shifts :
- Tuesday - Saturday 11am-7pm
Responsibilities :
Enhance program participants' functional competence in real-world situations through the attainment / re-attainment of skills through direct retraining, use of compensator strategies, and use of cognitive orthotics and prosthesesPlan, Lead and facilitate team activities both in house and on outingsMaximize residents' participation in groups and activitiesCounsels and encourages patients to develop leisure activitiesidentify, address, de-escalate resident behaviors as necessaryCompose Tally sheets, progress / service notes and all other necessary documentsPrepares progress charts and periodic reports for medical staff and other members of treatment teamQualifications :
Master's Degree in Psychology, or a closely related Human Services field, required2 years of experience in Cognitive Therapy, preferredAbility to lead both group and 1 : 1 sessionsAbility to maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive environment for both team members and participantsAbility to work weekends and holidays as scheduledDemonstrated ability to remain calm in tense and high-pressure situationsProven track record of timeliness and accountabilityWhat We Offer :
