RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - PICU

Job Details :

• Day shift schedule from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements unless sent home during shift due to low census
• Float requirements to NICU, PICU, Pediatric medical floor, or Peds ED based on patient volumes
• Patient ratios : Vented / critical patients 1 : 1, ICU status 2 : 1, floor status 3 : 1 (determined by acuity)
• Required certifications : BLS and PALS from AHA only, TNCC or PCAR
• Preferred certification : ENPC
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure required
• Minimum 1 year PICU experience post-orientation required
• Must be ventilator competent
• Work with 12-bed unit treating respiratory, surgical, trauma / burn, neurosurgery, sepsis, hematology / oncology, and endocrinology patients
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Dress code : Black scrubs or pediatric appropriate t-shirt with black scrub pants
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Physical requirements include standing / walking most of shift, lifting / pushing up to 50 lbs.
