As a Security Guard - Access Control Specialist in Freeport, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As a part-time security officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the state of employment. Pay Rate : $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSat05 : 00 PM - 05 : 00 AMSun05 : 00 PM - 05 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Perform security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed and support incident response in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, irregularities, and observations according to site requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to help to deter potential risks and maintain a secure environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
