Job Summary
This position assists the Assistant Director of Management Services with the daily operations related to the city's debt portfolio, debt management functions, and other special projects. Coordinates aspects of the debt management program, including developing the tables and reports for notices of intent, official statements, and continual disclosure reports. Daily activities include ensuring successful accounting, tracking, reconciling, and forecasting for debt repayment. This includes providing friendly and responsive customer service.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's or advanced degree is preferred. Proven knowledge of GASB, MSRB, PFIA, and other governing laws or standards.
Experience : Three to five years of experience in municipal government in budgeting, financial analysis, debt management, accounting, treasury, or other related field. Municipal Finance experience preferred.
Licenses : A valid Texas Driver's License is required.
Certifications Required : CGFO or CPFO or similar certification preferred. Ability to attend and attain mandatory training for the Public Funds Investment Act within 12 months of appointment and maintain continuing education hours as required.
