Responsibilities Work in the ICU caring for both ICU and IMC patients within a hospital setting ICU nurses are responsible for telemetry monitoring for the entire hospital Expected to float to Medical-Surgical (MS), Telemetry, IMC, and possibly the Emergency Department as needed First to float to inpatient units within the facility Utilize Paragon / Allscripts for acute care and T-System for the Emergency Department 14-week contract with 12-hour variable shifts, including both day (0700-1930) and night (1900-0730) schedules Every other weekend work required Bedside shift reporting, use of AIDET, and hourly rounding are mandatory practices Participation in natural disaster or emergency response activities may be required Compliance deadlines are closely tracked by the facility COVID vaccine is not required for this position Travelers cannot live within a 60-mile radius of the facility; local travelers will not be considered Travelers may not return as a traveler for at least one year after completing 52 weeks of contract work Holiday time off requests are limited to one holiday if multiple occur during the assignment Requirements Active MI RN license required Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience Current AHA certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Fingerprinting required for Michigan placements Must provide two references, including one supervisor reference Modules must be completed during orientation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625513.
