Pediatric Nurse Manager (Holtsville)

The Pediatric Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care in the pediatric unit or department. This leadership position ensures the provision of safe, high-quality care for pediatric patients and supports the professional development of the nursing staff. The Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes, improve workflows, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for pediatric care.

• Responsibilities :
• Oversee daily operations of the pediatric nursing department and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; support recruitment, training, and professional development
• Monitor patient outcomes, address concerns, and implement quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered, and culturally competent care
• Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resources to maintain efficient, high-quality service delivery
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and provide education to patients and families
• Requirements :
• BSN required; MSN or advanced degree preferred
• Active NYS RN license
• 5+ years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in pediatrics and 3+ years in management
• Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
• Experience with quality assurance and regulatory compliance
