About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse I

Experience : 6 to 12 months of RN experience required

License : Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS; ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Must-Have :

• Working knowledge of general disease state management processes
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective manner
• Attention to detail in examining clinical and numerical data

Description :

The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.

Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies.

Monitors and evaluates patient functional status.

Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care considering patient age and cultural factors.

Documents steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology.

Addresses patient problems and progress toward goals.

Facilitates patient discharge through appropriate referrals and education resources.

Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate.

Supports unit and hospital goals through educational activities and in-services.

Demonstrates independent judgment in planning operations and making decisions.

Works directly with patients and / or customers.

Interacts with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face.

Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
