Job Summary

This position is an on-site position to lead and coordinate the plant’s Quality Management System, ensuring the plant’s ongoing compliance with all quality certifications. The primary responsibility of the Quality Supervisor is to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Standards for the business and that all material quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Determination of root cause analysis along with accurate financial recording for both Spartech and the customer.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

QUALITY

• Manage the Quality Management system
• Maintain Quality Manual, prepare updates and communicate within the business appropriately
• Ensure business compliance with ISO 9001 standards
• Participate in all aspects of onsite customer audits and facilitate request for supplier audits. Conduct improvements, follow-up summaries for management team review
• Support QMS are ISO 9001 : 2015 compliant - make recommendations to management on potential improvements and training opportunities Material Quality Issue resolution
• Responsible for ensuring timely resolution of all customer quality complaints through research and collaboration with Product Managers, Technical Services, Suppliers and Sales
• Initiate Quality related issues into complaint system and SAP
• Comprehensive root cause analysis and documentation throughout the complaint life cycle
• Responsible for approval and release of all material credits within the SAP system
• Responsible for the submission and resolution of all material supplier claims and corrective actions, ensuring that financial impact to Spartech is minimal
• Ensures that process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency and according to the specified conditions.
• Ensures that all lab testing is carried out in an accurate and timely manner. Certificate and testing result accuracy.
• Coordinates investigation and corrective action on all plant-related customer complaints.
• Assesses training needs and provides training to production employees.
• Responsible for directing packaging and on time shipping requirements are met.
• Other projects / duties as assigned.
