Responsibilities
- Facilitates instrument purchase under direction of the specialty coordinators.
- Rotation of sterile instruments in designated storage areas to assure presentation and maximum utilization of items within appropriate shelf life and sterilization date period.
- Communicating need for upgrading or replacement of instrumentation.
- Transport of patients and delivery of surgical specimens with necessary documentation.
- Share in responsibility for cleaning documentation and participation in maintenance and spore testing of unit sterilizers and washer sterilizers.
