job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMonitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as per site-specific protocols. Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions related to access procedures. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial setting. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify any security-related concerns. Document and report any suspicious activities, access violations, or incidents according to Allied Universal and client procedures. Collaborate with site management and other Allied Universal personnel to support security-related operations and address any access control issues. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Guard - Access Control Specialist
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will help foster a welcoming environment while providing exceptional customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
