Overview
Position : Director of Mechanical Engineering
As Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will lead our team of HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler engineers and designers at our production facility in San Francisco. You will be responsible for the technical direction and successful execution of all mechanical engineering designs for commercial facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers.
- Oversee and perform the design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler systems.
- Generate pre-construction budgets based on preliminary and schematic designs.
- Ensure all designs meet code requirements and client performance requirements / specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, field installation crews, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement engineering standards and best practices.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in professional mechanical (primarily HVAC) engineering and design for commercial facilities.Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.Familiar with design-build project delivery, preferably in a tenant improvement and existing building retrofit context.Proficient in CAD and BIM software tools.Must-have Quals
Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer (PE) in California.10+ years of work experience as a licensed Mechanical Engineer designing HVAC systems in buildings.Comfortable working in an on-site setting and commuting daily to our San Francisco location.Job Details
