Northrop Grumman Space SystemsLaunch and Missile Defense Systems offer an excellent opportunity for a Principal Global Engineer Systems to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview :
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to reach global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a critical component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
This is a Systems Engineer position, and the successful candidate will develop use cases and prepare systems engineering artifacts to implement customer-requested capabilities. They will support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM), architectural documentation, and system engineering estimates. They will author and conduct both formal and informal engineering reviews. Work is performed under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results can lead to significant program delays and increased resource expenditure. The role involves frequent contact with internal and external customers and represents the organization in providing solutions to complex technical issues related to specific projects.
Essential Functions :
Salary range in Huntsville : $105,400 - $158,000
Salary range in Colorado Springs : $100,300 - $150,500
