Pediatric Physician Services Needed at The Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, NM

Will make preliminary diagnoses, directs prescribes, or providestreatment, or arranges for specialized care or patient referral as required. Basesdecisions upon information obtained, professional medical knowledge and skillsand prescribed policies and procedures.Contractor shall consult with other pediatricians or providers from other medicaldisciplines whenever necessary to more clearly define a patients problem andseek assistance to safely provide the necessary medical interventions.Makes notes of observations to be incorporated into clinicalrecords.Provides emergency care as required.Refers pediatric patients to appropriate contracted medical orother Governmental facilities, providing full clinical information for care anddiagnostic procedures that cannot be adequately provided at local IHS facilities.Coordinates and integrates information obtained into the ongoing health careprogram at the Service Unit and assures the provision of timely follow up care asrequired.Prepares appropriate medical records for pediatric primary carepatients seen to assure the accumulation and organization of all pertinentclinical data needed to provide comprehensive medical care. Dictates clinicalreports and correspondence concerning pediatric patients under his / her care tophysicians, hospitals, and other individuals and facilities.Evaluates patient symptoms, designing treatment plans andeducate the patient and family about their condition and initiating care.
