Position Overview

The Business / Equipment Intern will be offered the opportunity to work closely with our Equipment Team to compile, analyze and evaluate various reports and other data which will be used to implement process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

• Assist the team with compiling, analyzing and evaluating reports and other data related to the equipment department.
• Assist with the development of various process improvement initiatives.
• Research the cause and effect of meter postings.
• Track asset utilization by reviewing fleet data information.
• Work with the team to create training content which will be used to educate employees on best practices. Once content is developed, take the lead on implementation of the equipment training program.
• Learn the administrative requirements of the business through hands-on experience.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience

Working towards a degree in a Business related field of study, or a similar degree program from an accredited college or university.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
