About The Position

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care PA-C or ARNP to join our Inpatient Psychiatry team. This position offers a balanced schedule, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to provide meaningful medical care to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring medical conditions.

You’ll work closely with a supportive, interdisciplinary care team to provide routine medical management, assessments, and treatment for patients in a structured inpatient setting.

Key Highlights :

Part-time (0.6 FTE / 24 hours per week)

Inpatient psychiatric setting with manageable patient volume

Minimal procedures – outpatient-level primary care focus

Responsibilities :

Perform routine history and physical exams (H&Ps) for new admissions

Manage acute and chronic medical conditions for inpatients

Complete Treatment Plan goals related to medical care as part of an interdisciplinary team

Collaborate with psychiatric providers to address co-occurring psychiatric and medical concerns

Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate medication effectiveness and side effects

Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests

Provide substance withdrawal management when needed

Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all medical care

Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives

Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Current Washington State PA-C or ARNP license

DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority required

BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association)

Experience in family practice, geriatrics, or young adult care

Preferred : Experience working with mentally ill or psychiatric populations

Understanding of regulations and professional standards governing mental health treatment

Commitment to caring for chronic, multi-diagnosis populations
