Overview :
We're looking for an experienced Project Surveyor who can take a project from raw field data all the way to a polished, final deliverable. This role is ideal for a seasoned surveyor who's grown from the field into the office, with the ability to manage crews, process drawings, and communicate effectively with a team. You'll support high-profile public sector work (NJDOT, Port Authority, Transit) and help take pressure off our senior team as we continue to grow.
What You'll Do :
- Manage and coordinate field crews (with the ability to jump in when needed)
- Process field data into polished CAD drawings
- Finalize ROW mosaics and maps — from deeds to deliverables
- Communicate daily with office and field staff to keep projects moving
- Review plan sets for accuracy, consistency, and presentation
- Collaborate on Port Authority and NJDOT work, including post-processing
- Work closely with junior CAD techs to support labeling and linework cleanup
- Handle general survey tasks with a hands-on approach
Ideal Background :
10+ years of experience in land surveyingStarted in the field and moved into the office (field-first mindset)Strong in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Cyclone, TopoDOT, and / or ClearEdge is a plusComfortable reviewing deeds, creating mosaics, and finalizing ROWGreat written and verbal communication skillsSelf-driven, dependable, and a team playerLicense (PLS) is not required but welcomeFamiliarity with 3D point clouds and Revit is a plus (can train if needed)Why Join?
