Job Summary : Join a compassionate healthcare team providing clinical support and patient care management in a dynamic outpatient setting. This role adapts daily to meet the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring quality care and smooth patient experiences.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Provide reassurance, education, and clear guidance to patients.
- Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management, including sample medications and referrals. Ensure proper consents are obtained for invasive procedures and immunizations.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
Education and Experience Required :
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.This position offers a part-time, as-needed schedule with typical hours from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
