Benefits : Benefits for full-time employees include : Health insurance, 401(k) plan with employer matching, FSA & Dependent Care plan, Audiobook reimbursement, Paid vacation, access to company vehicle during working hours. $32-$40 / hr Status : Full time, non-exempt Job Responsibilities Job Site Management & Landscape Installation Manage the on-site execution of landscape construction projects, according to plans and contracts Demonstrate strong hardscaping, masonry, carpentry, irrigation and lighting skills Operate various tools and equipment, including : Skid Steer Loader, Plate compactor, Jackhammer, Auger, Trencher, Mitre and circular saws Work with manager to determine schedules and scope for 2-5 laborers, along with equipment and material pickups and other project details Ensure that work is being done in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining excellent quality Read site plans to confirm layout is consistent and accurate with the landscape design Maintain organized vehicle, tools, yard, and inventory Perform daily spot checks with onsite team members and elevate any ideas or concerns at weekly meetings with install manager and designer Drive between project sites and supply vendors (valid driver’s license required). Management - Personnel & Training Assist Install manager with hiring, orientation, training and reviews Participate in safety & training meetings Document project using Expensify, QuickbooksTime and Google Suite Assist with price sheets and best practices documentation Qualifications 5+ years experience in landscape construction, as a Foreman Adaptability to Farmscape best practices and follow through Clear, friendly and effective communication with management, customers, employees and vendors Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under tight deadlines Strong computer skills, with the ability to read and fill out basic spreadsheets Must have a strong work ethic, demand attention to detail, and be a proactive problem solver Plant knowledge and identification are a plus Spanish speaking is a plus Certifications and Continuing Education credits such as QWEL is a plus Physical Demands Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in extreme weather conditions Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions Fair Chance Statement Farmscape complies with the San Francisco, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO) and the California Fair Chance Act (FCA). Farmscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to build safe projects, on time, on budget, and within scope.
This is a hands-on position and requires the Foreman to work alongside the crew they are managing.
In addition, the foreman is responsible for key administrative tasks that require strong computer skills and knowledge of basic project management. About Farmscape :
