Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting Assignment is for 11 weeks with 8-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and required call coverage Cases include orthopedic, total joints, sports medicine, hands, podiatry, eyes, general, plastics, urology, GYN, and ENT procedures Seven OR suites with approximately 15 cases per day Floating to other operating rooms may be required Epic EMR is used and experience is required OR scrubs are provided by the hospital Unit / department-specific orientation lasts 3-4 days Primary responsibilities include circulating a variety of OR cases; scrubbing is not required for RNs Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays Free parking is available on site May float between OR suites as needed RNs will be supported by OR techs; charge nurse / house supervisor roles are not required in this position Returning candidates must not have been employed by CHI, Dignity, or CommonSpirit in the past year Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum of 3 years of recent perioperative / OR RN experience is required Experience in circulating orthopedic cases is mandatory Epic EMR experience is required Must be able to respond to call within 45 minutes Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627253.
