Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in an inpatient overflow unit with a mixed level of medical surgical and step-down care. This unit targets short-stay patients and maintains a quick turnover rate. The RN will closely monitor telemetry readings and provide progressive care as needed.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient telemetry and respond to alerts.

Coordinate with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.

Perform assessments and document patient conditions in EMR (Cerner).

Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Telemetry competency is required.

Experience in Progressive Care is a must.

Preferred : Recent progressive care experience.

Certifications : BLS and ACLS are required.
