Description :
The Shipping / Receiving Clerk will manage incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently. The Shipping / Receiving Clerk will ensure that materials, supplies, and printed products are properly received, stored, and distributed while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Unload, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments to meet customer and carrier requirements.
- Process shipping documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain an organized warehouse and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors and freight carriers to schedule deliveries and pickups.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shipping and receiving operations.
Requirements :
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.Knowledge of shipping procedures, inventory management, and freight handling.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
