Responsibilities :
As a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Beebe Healthcare, you will :
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital policies .
- Facilitate, implement, and evaluate individualized Patient Plans of Care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and technical skills to effectively prioritize and manage patient care.
- Accurately document patient assessments at admission, transfer, and discharge, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
- Assess and protect patient safety , following all hospital policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and report critical test results promptly and efficiently.
- Address the educational needs of patients, providing and documenting teaching as needed.
- Ensure proper transcription of orders and execute them with attention to detail.
- Collect and correctly label blood and urine specimens , ensuring timely delivery to the lab.
- Maintain open communication with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth, coordinated patient care experience.
Qualifications :
One year of acute care experience as an RN preferred. Prior L&D experience highly preferredMust complete Point of Care Testing training, Neonatal rescusitation program (NRP) and Fetal monitoring as part of Department Orientation.Baby friendly education within 6 months of hire.STABLE certificate preferred.Competencies Skills :
