Position Description

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide community-based services in partnership with counties, school districts, and the general public. Services include individual, family, and group therapy across multiple settings, which may include support for residential programs as needed. Come join us as we work together to help youth see themselves in a new light through experiential learning, innovative mental health interventions, therapeutic lifestyle choices, and safe relationships.

Flexible scheduling opportunities are available, including hybrid remote arrangements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitate individual, family, and group counseling sessions, according to the treatment plan, professional standards, and certification standards.
  • Conduct clinical assessments using clinical interview, review of records, objective diagnostic tools, and consultation with other members of the treatment team.
  • Develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients, and revise the plan as treatment progresses.
  • Integrate professional treatment and behavioral strategies within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including medical and direct care personnel.
  • Collaborate with and guide the treatment team members in implementing individualized and comprehensive treatment plans congruent with the identified client’s diagnosis, needs, and personal strengths.
  • Complete all required documentation as indicated by certification, funding source, and program standards.
  • Actively participate in clinical supervision meetings as required to meet best practice and licensure standards.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in trainings as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be fully licensed in Wisconsin (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LP) or have a valid training license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of interviewing methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical diagnostic activities and various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local ordinances and policies regarding therapeutic issues
  • Ability to maintain files, records, and reports
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
