Job Summary
The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer leads electrical engineering support of plant issues that are impacting production over a short period of time. Acts as the technical expert responsible for resolving equipment based or repair technique-based issues, which impact the availability and maintainability of the facility. Serves as subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. Provides input to MIQA process. Performs regular field assessments of equipment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops Maintenance Procedure Use Policy : 1) Performs technical reviews of procedures; 2) Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review; 3) Creates and reviews job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure Management of Change work process (MOC).
- Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Delivers maintenance input into project activities and acts as electrical maintenance representative for capital projects.
- Develops turnaround scopes and supports turnaround activities.
- Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to develop work scopes and drive solutions.
- Delivers input to the Reliability Top Opportunity List.
- Provides input to Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) process.
- Performs regular field assessments of equipment.
Education & Experience
Required :
5+ years of manufacturing experience working in a similar role as engineer or technicianSkilled in creating / reviewing technical procedures (Standard Practice, Standard Operating Procedures)SAP working knowledge for Bill of Materials improvementMaintenance (cost, asset utilization and) goal alignmentDefining scope of work for projectsRoot cause analysis (RCA)Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and Siemens adjustable speed drives and associated I / OProficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs and associated I / OProficient in reading and understanding electrical drawings, schematics, and machine control diagramsLow voltage electrical power distribution experience is a plusFamiliarity with the National Electric Code, arc flash hazard analysis, and machine guarding is a plusPreferred :
