Purchasing Manager
DMI, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join us. Duties and responsibilities include overseeing purchases of materials, equipment, products, parts, services, and supplies necessary for on-going operations; sourcing, purchasing, planning, and scheduling the movement of materials, equipment, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related materials through production and inventory process; identifying component and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules; analyzing data and determining factors that affect prices and determining lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules; reviewing proposals, negotiating prices, selecting or recommending suppliers, analyzing trends, following up on orders placed, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s); coordinating and following up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services; maintaining detailed records of goods and services ordered and received; reviewing, evaluating, and approving specifications for issuing and awarding bids; locating vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and consulting with them to determine product availability and terms of sales; representing Team DMI in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers; and resolving vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
Qualifications include leading other subject matter experts of the IT technology team for specific customers, evaluating design and architecture issues, as well as increasing integration of services delivered, and researching current market technologies to design cost-effective solutions that meet current and foreseeable customer requirements.
