Licensed Professional Counselor

The Licensed Professional Counselor will assume a key role in our organization as diagnostician and billing provider. This candidate will need to have special strengths in child and adolescent assessment and intervention. Reporting to the Regional Clinical Director of Psychology Services, the Licensed Professional Counselor will act as billing provider for diagnostic and psychological services, provide diagnostic evaluations and participate in psycho-diagnostic staffing meetings.

• Conduct approximately 10 diagnostic evaluations per week for patients referred for diagnostic services using standardized measures
• Carry out screenings and assessments including, but not limited to ADOS, ADI-R, Sensory Profile, CARS 2, BASC 3, Tele-ASD-Peds, DayC-2, and P-Toni
• Opportunity to provide direct evaluation services to children and provide caregiver education

• Attend educational programs and in-service trainings related to the center
• Maintain an active, unrestricted license in your state to practice as a licensed independent practitioner (i.e., LPC, LPCP, LCSW, Psychologist)
• Maintain a negative Tuberculosis screening according to the CDC
• Maintain a clear criminal record
• Valid Driver’s License
• Successfully manage travel schedule and needs of Centers

Physical Demands

This is a position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require lifting, carrying, running, walking, climbing, kneeling, twisting, pulling / pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.  May need to lift pediatric population at times (up to 50 lbs).
