We are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern / Co-op to join our team. The intern will support process improvement initiatives, data analysis, and efficiency optimization projects under the guidance of experienced engineers. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a real-world operations or manufacturing environment.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do :

• Assist in analyzing workflows, production methods, and process layouts to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support time and motion / time studies to collect data and recommend improvements.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen events, or Six Sigma projects.
• Collect and analyze operational data using Excel, SQL, or other tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, logistics, etc.) to support ongoing improvement efforts.

Onsite Definition : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and / or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
