Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Location : Baltimore, Maryland Start Date : November 24, 2025 Shift : 3x12-Hour Nights (18 : 30 – 07 : 00) Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Every other weekend; holiday coverage expected Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment at a leading short-term acute care teaching hospital. This facility is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH) and offers a dynamic clinical environment with 338 staffed beds. Responsibilities The RRT will provide advanced respiratory care in adult critical care settings, including : Airway management and suctioning (endotracheal, nasal, oral, tracheostomy) Extubation and pulmonary hygiene Sputum specimen collection and ABG interpretation Ventilator management using Draeger V500 and Servo U Support in high-risk deliveries and umbilical blood gas analysis Required Skills Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in : Aerosol and inhalation therapies : Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex Respiratory equipment : HFNC, Trach collar, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, metered dose inhalers Ventilator troubleshooting and weaning protocols ABG collection and analysis Electronic charting using Cerner Preferred skills include experience with bronchoscopy, bicarbonate therapy, inhaled Flolan, ketamine, Mucomyst, nitric oxide (INo), and theophylline.
