As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve the people of our communities.The Clinical Training Specialist develops, organizes, facilitates, and delivers training programs for employees focusing on clinical skill development. This role provides instructional design to support key learning and development delivery projects.

Compensation Range :

The starting pay for this position is $55,250 for limited licensed and $59,800 for licensed, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

  • Consult with agency leadership and department representatives to conduct needs assessments and identify training needs.
  • Evaluate and modify existing training programs to determine if they are appropriate to meet training needs.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based trainings on various skill, policy, and compliance areas that are appropriate for all levels of providers and attendees.
  • Maintain a positive training environment to support the development of experience, skills, knowledge, and capabilities of employees.
  • Design, develop, assess, and maintain instructional materials including training manuals, facilitation guides, teaching aids, assessments, training activities, and presentations to support learning outcomes.
  • Employ a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, and practices to support maximum effectiveness of training programs.
  • Deliver training content through classroom (in-person), virtual, and blended training settings.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Incorporate feedback gathered from participants and other stakeholders to enhance and improve training programs and materials.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities including attendance and assessment results.
  • Assist with the completion of applications and recordkeeping for continuing education credits.
  • Assist with the facilitation of new hire orientation activities.
  • Support the maintenance of the agency learning management system.
  • Respond to general inquiries concerning department activities and operations by referring to established policies and procedures.
  • Attend and conduct meetings in-person in the office or the community, virtually through video (audiovisual), and by phone (voice only) as required.
  • Travel off-site as needed for various programming opportunities including meetings, conferences, activities, and events
  • Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staff.
  • Assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and conferences.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, corporate compliance program, code of ethics, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications : Required

  • At least a bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, or other related field
  • Valid and unrestricted State of Michigan licensure as a Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker (LBSW), Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Limited-Licensed Psychologist (LLP), OR Registered Nurse (RN)
  • At least two years of related experience providing training, education, and instruction
  • Experience working with persons with mental illness in either a hospital or community setting
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development programs.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient with computers, navigating the internet / intranet, and Microsoft office products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including photocopiers, faxes, computers, printers, desk and mobile phones, and video / teleconferencing equipment.
  • Ability to quickly learn an array of computer and technology systems
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Ability to understand and value cultural and ethnic differences, their alternatives perspectives, lifestyles, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously
  • Ability to use discretion and judgmental when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature
  • Advanced time management, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of the department
  • Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, or other related field
