Position Overview :
This role is responsible for managing weekly payroll for 50+ employees, administering the company's benefits plan, and ensuring full compliance with state and federal HR regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership to implement and refine HR policies and procedures, foster positive employee relations, and optimize the use of ADP Workforce Now.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer weekly payroll for 50+ employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable labor laws
- Oversee and manage the company's benefits plan, including enrollments, changes, and compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture
- Ensure HR policies and procedures align with current state and federal regulations, maintaining up-to-date documentation and compliance tracking
- Oversee and optimize the implementation and full utilization of ADP Workforce Now for employee records, transactions, reporting, and analytics
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, execute, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures that support organizational goals
- Respond to employee inquiries and escalate issues appropriately
- Maintain accurate employee records and support documentation across regions
Qualifications :
7+ years of experience in HR management, especially with payroll processing, employee relations / engagement, HRIS systems, and benefits administrationExperience within logistics, transportation, maritime, or similar industries, and has experience with regulatory and compliance in these industriesStrong ADP Workforce Now experienceFamiliarity with employment law and HR compliance at both state and federal levels, especially in logistics, maritime, and transportation industriesExperience administering employee benefits programs and working with third-party providersExperience collaborating with senior leadership on HR strategy and policy development is a plusWhy Join Accordia Shipping?
