The Maintenance / Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of packaging equipment within the assembly processes and basic facility maintenance. Hours are flex between 6am-6pm, Monday-Friday paying $22-$24 / hour based on experience.
This requires the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, and protection of physical facilities, and equipment used to produce customer products and provide customer services. Responsibilities also include compliance with all federal, state and local laws as such apply to OSHA, environmental air quality control requirements and hazard / waste control requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The set up, operation, and basic repair of packaging and manufacturing equipment including but not limited to labeling equipment, case sealer, conveyors, L-Bars, shrink wrap tunnels, heat sealers,etc.
Scheduling / performing preventative maintenance
Requisition parts and supplies
Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining equipment in safe working condition
Maintain preventive maintenance logs
Coordinates the processing of all maintenance items work requests. Prepares project cost estimates; provides for appropriate planning and work-flow; provides required parts, materials and equipment; and maintenance of all related labor and equipment records. Manages the inventory of parts, materials, and equipment for which the assembly department is held
accountable
Provide training, as needed, to maintenance and other team members related to maintenance tasks
Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks as required
Critical thinking and reasoning
Ability to prioritize work based on cost, safety, and plant objectives.
Electrical Troubleshooting (AC / DC High and Low Voltage)
Mechanical troubleshooting
Mechanical and Electrical component repair and replacement
Understanding of drives and motors
Lean / 5S experience
Mechanical Technician and / or equivalent, two to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferred)
Experience working with engineering concepts, construction blueprints, and electrical / mechanical diagrams. (Preferred)
Experience working with Microsoft Office personal computer software; specifically Google, Excel, Word, AutoCadLT, and the Internet. (Preferred)
A plus would be having experience with : Vision systems, robotics, PLC programming (Siemens / Allen Bradley), Zebra printers and Wolke ink jet printers.
Supervisory / Leadership experience highly preferred.
