ELECTRICIAN II - A SHIFT
SUMMARY
The Electrician II individual performs a variety of electrical Preventive Maintenance tasks, repairs, and troubleshooting on manufacturing machines and / or facility premises. May be responsible to perform plant and facility construction wiring, and mechanical tasks as needed.

Education and / or Experience
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability top learn Work Order program and Word Processing software.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to speak and present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Safety and Environmental
The responsibilities of the position include compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental and hazardous materials regulations and procedures. Employee will be required to wear personal safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or proper footwear PPE in specified areas. The employee must have a working knowledge of safety standards related to machinery operation use (including lock out / tag out) and machine guarding.
