About the Role

Perform computerized tomography of the head, neck, spine, chest, and body. Determine technical factors, positioning, number, and thickness of scans, etc., to produce and satisfy the requirements of CT scanning. Perform all procedures relating to all general CT exams and more complex exams such as CTA coronary, abdominal and neuro exams. Advise radiologists of examination results and notify radiologists of scans requiring their immediate attention.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computerized tomography of the head, neck, spine, chest, and body.
  • Determine technical factors, positioning, number, and thickness of scans.
  • Perform all procedures relating to all general CT exams and more complex exams.
  • Advise radiologists of examination results.
  • Notify radiologists of scans requiring their immediate attention.

Qualifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R) certification is required.
  • Advanced ARRT CT certification is required for assignments that include computed tomography.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience is required.
  • Required Skills

  • Proficiency in performing CT scans.
  • Ability to determine technical factors and positioning for scans.
  • Strong communication skills to advise radiologists.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with complex CT exams such as CTA coronary, abdominal, and neuro exams.
