Overview

Structural Engineer role at Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C.

Base pay range : $78,000.00 / yr - $90,000.00 / yr . This range is provided by the company; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience—talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed structural analysis and design for a variety of projects, including bridges;
  • Prepare design calculations, construction documents, and specifications;
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, schedules, and project proposals;
  • Participate in site investigations, inspections, and condition assessments of existing bridges;
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines;
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, feasibility studies, and design reviews;
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams (geotechnical, environmental, etc.) to complete complex projects;
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and guidelines;
  • All related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred);
  • Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering; bridge design experience strongly preferred;
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software;
  • Strong knowledge of materials, load analysis, and design principles;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and inspections.
  • Physical Requirements

    While performing essential functions, the employee is frequently required to handle and inspect documents, materials and equipment, and may need to move around on job sites, including navigating construction environments and hiking in various weather conditions.
