Store Manager Candidate
Dollar General Corporation has a mission of serving others and values each employee. This position supports the store manager in implementing store processes, including employee supervision, inventory management, and customer service. The role fosters development of an external candidate for the store manager position.
Duties and essential functions include :
- Assisting in recruiting and staffing activities
- Helping with store merchandising and inventory management
- Ensuring proper execution of damages, markdowns, and register scanning
- Following prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets
- Providing superior customer service leadership
- Participating in store opening and closing activities
- Ensuring the safe deposit of company funds
- Maintaining clean, well-stocked stores
- Operating the store in the store managers absence
- Reviewing operating statements to identify business trends
- Completing all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines
Qualifications include :
Working conditions and physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional driving. This position requires some travel with limited overnight stays.
