We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a dynamic team in Chatsworth, California. This contract to hire position is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial operations, particularly in managing accounts receivable and commercial collections. The role requires attention to detail and effective communication skills to ensure accurate cash applications and efficient billing processes.

Responsibilities :

Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Manage commercial collections by contacting clients and resolving outstanding payment issues.

Apply cash payments to appropriate accounts and reconcile discrepancies.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing functions and enhance efficiency.

Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and provide regular reporting.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all accounts receivable activities.

Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data.

Communicate proactively with clients to address payment concerns and foster positive relationships.

Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to accounts receivable.

Provide assistance in improving processes and systems for better financial management.

Requirements :

Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.

Proficiency in handling commercial collections and resolving payment issues.

Strong knowledge of cash applications and billing functions.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication abilities for interacting with clients and internal teams.

Familiarity with financial software and systems used for accounts receivable.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
