Vocational Rehabilitation Training Specialist (Hybrid)

A creative, experienced vocational rehabilitation counselor (VRC) who understands how to deliver training to an adult audience. You would be excited to join the VR Training team, which specializes in delivering job-skills courses to VR counselors and other VR staff. WHAT YOU WILL DO :

The Vocational Rehabilitation Training Specialist (Training and Development Specialist IV) performs highly complex (senior-level) training work. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO :

• Develop and deliver a wide variety of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) training topics to VR staff using approved department guidelines.
• Collaborate with Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS) management to assess training needs.
• Develop training strategies and / or training solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate and conduct train-the-trainer workshops and project meetings.
• Build positive working relationships with subject-matter experts and co-workers to accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
• Prepare documents, such as correspondence, reports, and training materials, with a high degree of accuracy using correct format and grammar.
• Serve as mentor for other training staff on occasion.
• Advocate for a culture of continuous learning throughout the Texas Workforce System (TWS).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
