Overview
Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Raytheon. Onsite role based in Massachusetts (MA131 : Tewksbury, MA Bldg 1 Assabet, 50 Apple Hill Drive Assabet - Building 1, Tewksbury, MA, 01876 USA). DoD security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. This role is attached to Raytheon\'s Receiver, Exciter, and Back End Processing (REBEP) Department, focusing on mixed-signal hardware design for Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter subsystems.
What You Will Do
- Circuit and sub-system architecture, design, modeling, simulation, and verification.
- Integration and test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels.
- Transition to production and provide technical support to manufacturing and test engineers.
- Occasional travel to supplier, integration, and customer sites may be required.
- Opportunities to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility.
- 1st shift, 100% on-site with potential to be based in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years of prior work experience.Combined experience in two or more of the following areas :Digital Design (Requirements development through Build and Test)
Production TestingDesign simulation tools (e.g., HyperLynx, LTSpice) and analytical tools (e.g., Matlab)Design development tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics\' Xpedition schematic capture and layout)The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
Experience interfacing and testing with Digital to Analog Converters (D / A) and Analog to Digital Converters (A / D).Experience with digital high-speed interfaces such as JESD204B, Memory (DDR3, DDR4), SERDES, 10G+ Ethernet, Fiber Channel.Background in FPGA hardware inference designs including SERDES, LVDS chip-to-chip and board-to-board.Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level.Knowledge of cost estimating, plus budget and schedule management.Experience in a laboratory environment using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzer, and spectrum analyzer to test and verify digital and mixed-signal circuits and systems.Experience in a production environment.Experience in technical writing, proposal writing, and oral presentations.Active / Existing Secret U.S. Security Clearance.What We Offer

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance, education programs, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Benefits vary by business unit and may be subject to collective-bargaining agreements. Short-term and / or long-term incentive programs may be offered depending on position level and eligibility.
