Primary Care Position Available in Goldsboro, NC

The Goldsboro, NC Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic is recruiting primary care physicians. We provide exceptional care that improves the health and well-being of veterans. Work schedule : Monday-Friday 8-4 : 30 pm, no weekends or call

• BC / BE FM or IM Candidates
• Ability to mentor and supervise advanced practice providers
• Panel size is typically 1,200 (male and female)
• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatient include both scheduled and unscheduled Veterans.
• Function as an integral part of a Primary Care multi-disciplinary team.
• Establish a diagnosis and initiate appropriate response to emergency health problems.
• Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to other clinical services.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and / or referral.
• Initiate, evaluate, and change orders for medications.
• Include patient and family in planning care and establish realistic, measurable goals for health maintenance / improvement.

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment) : Position eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years with a maximum of $40K per year.
