Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol - Weekdays

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and / or the public in a professional manner while upholding site-specific requirements.
  • Assist law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and / or observations during each shift.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and / or military roles.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and / or local laws and regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
