About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.

License : Current nursing license required.

Certifications : BLS certification required.

Must-Have :

Experience in an inpatient setting is required.

Skills in Med / Surg, colostomy care, accessing ports, and administering blood products required.

Experience with central line blood draws, peripheral line care / management, and PICC line management is essential.

Ability to manage heparin, insulin, surgical drains, chest tubes, and non-invasive airway management is necessary.

Knowledge of wound care, isolation precautions, and managing dysrhythmias is preferred.

Description :

The position is focused on medical surgical patients with an oncology history.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with a general medical-surgical diagnosis patient population.

A significant part of the role includes the administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy.

Patients may present with acute kidney injury, sepsis, various cancers, septic shock, diabetic foot ulcers, and other complex medical conditions.

The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, care planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Weekly unit meetings will be a requirement of the role.

All staff must adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Candidates will be required to float to similar units and alternate care locations if necessary.

Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

Attendance during catastrophic events may also be necessary.
