Job Title

Job Summary

Manages a Northern Trust International Banking Corporation (TNTIBC) team or general office. Provides leadership and guidance to managers and employees. Makes staffing decisions, conducts the performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the division / unit / function. Multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise.

Major Duties :

  • Oversees, plans and directs all activities for the office or location.
  • Communicates overall strategy to reporting managers and employees.
  • Responsible for upholding corporate policies and procedures.
  • Participates in developing objectives and strategic direction for location or market that meet business objectives.
  • Monitors and reports on progress toward objectives.
  • Develops strategic plans and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and / or ambiguous issues.
  • Develops sales goals for new business.
  • Oversees communication strategies and identification of prospective clients / business.
  • Prepares proposals and makes sales presentations.
  • Develops and monitors financial / budget planning, and pricing of products and services.
  • Responsible for managing multiple functions through the direct management of a group of managers.
  • Oversees client interactions and communications.
  • May address specific sensitive or complex client needs.
  • Participates in developing division strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met.

Knowledge :

  • Leadership and organizational skills with flexibility and adaptability to change required.
  • In-depth functional / industry knowledge are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Technical skills / systems knowledge is required.
  • Experience : A College or University degree and / or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is required / preferred.

    Salary Range :

    $141,910 - 248,400 USD
