Job Summary :

The Echo Tech (Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) is responsible for performing adult echocardiographic procedures using ultrasound technology to assist physicians in diagnosing and evaluating cardiac conditions. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging, maintains equipment, and upholds patient safety and confidentiality standards while working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform adult echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered by physicians.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Review and evaluate images for clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic quality.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Cerner Millennium EMR.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to all facility protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech / Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS – required.
  • Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer license – required.
  • Experience with Cerner Millennium preferred.

  • Guaranteed Hours : 24–36 hours per week

    Department : Echocardiography

    Shift : 3–4 shifts per week, 8-hour days (may total up to 36 hours / week)
